We at Wilkes Habitat are very excited and anxious to get back to the job site and working on our next house. This Saturday (weather permitting) we will doing site work which means we will be shoveling dirt from the footers plus setting up the temporary water and power sources. No special skills or tools are needed, just bring work gloves and a shovel if you have one.
Work will begin at 8:30 on Saturday, May 23rd. and depending on the turn out, we should be finished before noon. For our new volunteers that need directions to Beaver Dam Lane – drive 268 east toward Elkin. Take the first right past Knotville Volunteer Fire Department – first lot on right.
