The Habitat for Humanity ReStore sells donated items in order to raise money for our local affordable housing ministry. Items for sale include new and used furniture, small appliances, building materials, and more. All proceeds support Hometown Habitat for Humanity’s affordable housing ministry in Wilkes, Yadkin, and Surry Counties, and items donated to the ReStore are tax-deductible.
A large percentage of the work to operate the store is done through the efforts of our many dedicated volunteers, and we always welcome new folks who are interested in getting involved.

ReStore donors are Habitat heroes! Habitat homebuyers have to work hard to get the chance to purchase their homes from us. They have to contribute hundreds of hours of “sweat equity” during the building process, attend over 30 hours of homebuyer education classes, and agree to partner with Habitat over the long term to help our ministry grow. We keep our houses affordable by selling them at cost, financed by a zero-interest mortgage.
This process is kept affordable thanks to the many volunteers who serve on the site, and the builds are funded by mortgage repayments and by donations from folks like you. So donate items to the ReStore today! It’s fun, easy, and we even pick up larger items. Give us a call at 336.838.3044 ext 1.
